Management and information systems (week 1)
In future, I will try and keep myself updated on the latest trends and the basic knowledge about one of my favourite enterprise Google and make sure I'm going along with the technology nowadays so I could never feel the same way about myself as I felt today. I want to know more and gain knowledge always that's what I've discovered about myself today.
Today we were given a brief description of how we are going to be assessed and we were divided into a group of 5 and told about the 2 course works hence we started thinking about ideas about it. we were then given sheets and asked to analyse a business case. I made some new friends and I'm really pleased as they always make sure I stay updated about group work and we are working effectively towards achieving our goal.
Lecture reflection:
Today I
had learnt about the 21st century challenges for organisations and
we've also learnt about the three waves of change which are first wave, second
wave, and the third wave :Civilisation base, secondly Industrial
revolution, Information age.
We also
learnt about E-business innovations and oppurtunities and that since
google is launched and the development in technology(mobiles etc) has been
tremendous since 1998 the social media and about the information
systems today .

5 IT Megatrends :
a) Mobile;
b) Social media; c)Internet of things; d) Cloud computing; d)Big data and
The thing that really struck my mind was social media and new
technologies because I really like staying updated on the latest
trends and social apps etc. I was confident and by that I guess I was over
confident that I was quiet updated on things like google, facebook, youtube
etc. I was blown away the moment when Mr. Haider showed us the video of how a
google company functions. I felt like I knew nothing and wasn't really proud of
my knowledge.

Seminar reflection:
In the end
we were thought how to use blogger.com and told about how to upload
videos on youtube step by step which was totally new to me because
I've never uploaded and we were also told about how to do our individual
and group project and the deadlines were given after group
formation.
