Management and Information systems: Lecture Reflection:    Today we've come across  IS Crimes, Security & Controls. We've learnt about the threats of the organisations which are:  more vulnerable to security disasters, Internal/External threats, fire, floods, hurricanes, etc. The different types of computer viruses was the most interesting which are viruses, worms, trojans and how hackers prevent the people of the organisation to get back on the data. Later on, we were told about Spam, captcha ,spim & phishing.After which we were aware of the different types of cyber threats: cyber-harassment, cyber-stalking , cyber-bullying etc. The different computer ethics were knowledgeable as well.   Management & Information  Systems: Lecture reflection:              Today we’ve learnt about enhancing business intelligence using ISs.We’ve learnt about its importance in a business to understand big data, the 7v’s and how it gives a firm different opportunities and threats which are wider choices for customers; short product life cycles; fierce competition; unstable markets & global threats. Organisations need continuous planning and ongoing adjustment and decision making. It was easy for me to understand how an organisation functions and the kind of data they use etc as my dad owns a business I was really keen to know how things function and why he continuous has to plan and be prepared for every situation.                               Management and information systems (week 3) Lecture reflection:   In the third week we have learnt about managing infrastructure and services, about different softwares, internet , world wide web and more. We have also learnt the different types of computer networks and how it is used in different types of places and areas. We have learnt about storage needs and issues with managing the infrastructure.I was curious how Wifi functions on a large so easily and smoothly and in lecture I found answers to all my questions and i was impressed by the way how the Wlan functions and the different types of networks in a wide area. eg: universities, companies etc. Moreover, In future we would be more knowledgeable so I'd be able to answer any question relating to the types of networks and any other types of networks.
